Structuring and cooperation
We cooperate with other entities (universities, research centres, international organisations) to share and exchange knowledge and experiences that favour the structuring of the sector in all areas (both geographical and productive), facilitating the activity of those who live in a rural area and contributing to its conservation.

Wood industry and construction
Wood as a construction material for the 21st century requires technological development and R&D&I to accompany industry and construction professionals in their commitment to its use. We carry out quality controls of wood in constructions, industries and rehabilitations; we advise on the calculation of structures and carry out the implementation of CE Marking and chain of custody, among other quality certifications.

Biodiversity and conservation
We carry out research for the management and conservation of habitats of threatened species - whether flora or fauna - and to reduce human intervention when our natural or urban spaces are recovered for the enjoyment of citizens.

Valorisation of non-timber forest products
Natural resins, mushrooms, chestnuts, pine nuts... The study of this type of products allows us to approach an integral use of our forests, to propose improvements in the management and valuation of this type of resources and to offer tools to guarantee their traceability.

We propose solutions aimed at making a sustainable use of forest resources compatible with the development of their environment. Our results are based on the methodical collection and rigorous analysis of information obtained from different activities in the forestry sector and the natural environment.

Climate change
Being aware of the importance of forests and their products in the fight against Climate Change, regardless of the value of economic resources and employment in rural areas, we are working to make these large carbon sinks the cornerstone of a green bioeconomy.

Wildfires and other forest damages
We are committed to establish supranational alliances and collaboration protocols to combat environmental threats: fires, pests, soil destruction, GHG emissions... In a globalized world, these threats move without regard to borders. Therefore, a coordination of actions will undoubtedly be a guarantee of success.
